My name is Lirios Gisbert Emmerich, a biologist and specialist in ichthyology. I work in Alaska Fisheries Science Center, National Marine Fisheries Service.
I study the behavior of certain types of fish and crustaceans in Alaska. The mission of the Alaska Fisheries Science Center is the generation of scientific information and analysis necessary for the conservation, management and utilization of marine resources in the region to live.
I do not dance ;)

I am a soil scientist/resource specialist for the Indiana State Department of Agriculture, Division of Soil Conservation.  I spend my spare time poking around outside, camping (as here, in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula), reading comic books, watching films of almost any sort, and writing terrible short stories.

Hi!  My name is Marie.  I love biology.  As a molecular oncologist with an emphasis in murine genetics and models of cancer, I identified some of the SNPs responsible for tumorigenesis and metastasis.  I’m now an application scientist in a biotech company.  Thank you for starting this project!  This is what a scientist looks like!

Hi there, I’m Sam, final year PhD student in computer science (working on logic-based knowledge bases). In my little spare time I run tech events for girls and women which sometimes require fancy dress, love to go hiking, and fuss over my house rabbit.
