Mai Truong. Physics PhD student at UC Berkeley.
I’m Xue-song Mei. My western friend also call me Richard May.
I’m a PhD student working on theoretical physics and atomic physics at College of Physics and Technology,Wuhan University, China. I am also interesting in computer programming. I like reading books concerned with history and philosophy. I just want to know where we come and where shall we go.
Ricardo, researcher in experimental high energy physics, and Estela Ph. D. student working in theoretical neutrino physics. Now married and here running a mountain race.
My research focuses on developing and applying machine learning algorithms and numerical methods from areas of quantum physics, computer science, and mathematics to analyze large, complex medical datasets. When I’m not working out the math or programming, I’m writing poetry, enjoying extreme sports and nature, or volunteering/fundraising for charity or veteran’s organizations. As Alan Turing once said, “The isolated man does not develop any intellectual power… It is necessary for him to be immersed in an environment.”
I am Jorge Zuluaga, PhD in Physics and professional astronomer from Medellin, Colombia. I like a lot to interact with people and help them to understand what I am doing as a scientist or what other scientist do in their own fields. As a scientist even coming from a developing country (Colombia) I have had a lot of opportunities to travel around the world and know amazing places and very interesting people, being they experts or simply wonderful human coming from places very different from where I come from… this is how a scientist from Colombia looks like!
My name is Arna. I am a Radiation Physicist and dabble in modeling. This photo was taken at a test shoot for a charity runway event held by Aveda.
I have a Ph.D. in theoretical High Energy Physics but I also perform in a local children’s theater.
Physicist and avid skier, seen here enjoying the view in Vail, CO.
two physicists and a mathematician…
