I’m Jen and I have a PhD in microbiology from Washington University in St. Louis, where I currently work as a staff scientist specializing in infectious disease research. My alter ego, Biohazard Betty, skates for the Arch Rival Roller Girls. Photo courtesy of Bob Dunnell.
I am a senior microbiology major at Colorado State University. I chose microbiology because I wanted to learn more about the microscopic organisms that we cannot see. The tiny world of microbes is such an interesting place of study. I’ve enjoyed learning about the various bacteria and viruses that live amongst us. It is so interesting to learn about how something so small can affect larger organisms in a substantial way.
My name is Will Spaller and I am a microbiology student at Colorado State University. I am trying to enter into the software development industry, specifically software used in bioinformatics, after I finish school. I love coding and learning complex mathmatical concepts, which I am teaching myself through opensource course materials. As you can see I also enjoy climbing rocks in my spare time.
I am a Microbiologist, who loves to fish, hike, camp, and just be outdoors!
My name is Dennis Fink and I just graduated at the Max Planck Institute for Marine Microbiology (Bremen, Germany). Why so serious?!
My name is Rebecca Cerio, I have a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology, and I’m a postdoctoral research fellow developing new cancer therapies. Here I am on vacation in Alaska, and yes, that is a hat with kitty ears.
My name is Louise Smithson I’m an immunologist/microbiologist by day and Baroness Helewyse de Birkestad in a reenactment group on weekends.
